West Seattle Blog welcomes submissions from community members, local organizations, and businesses that add real value for West Seattle readers. Here’s what to know before you pitch or submit.

What We’re Looking For

– Stories, updates, or perspectives relevant to West Seattle (or White Center)

– Community events, milestones, and local business news

– Original content — not previously published elsewhere

– Clear, factual writing free of excessive self-promotion

What We Don’t Publish

– Pure advertising or sales pitches (see our advertising options instead)

– Political endorsements or one-sided advocacy pieces

– Content that’s been published elsewhere first

– Anything defamatory, discriminatory, or factually unverified

Submission Requirements

– Length: [e.g., 300–800 words]

– Include your name, a short bio, and contact information

– Photos welcome (please confirm you have rights to use them, and credit the photographer)

– Proofread before submitting — we edit for clarity and style, but not heavily

How to Submit

Email your draft to editor@westseattleblog.com with “Guest Post” in the subject line. Include a one-line pitch if you’re not ready to submit a full draft.

Editorial Rights

WSB reserves the right to edit submissions for length, clarity, and style, and to decline any submission that doesn’t fit our editorial standards. We’ll let you know if changes are needed before publishing.

Response Time

We try to respond to submissions within [X business days]. Because we’re a small team, not every pitch will get a personal reply.
